Our UNS S31803 / S32205 Duplex Steel Pipes are stronger and harder than regular steel, but they are not as resistant to corrosion as stainless steel.
Duplex 2205 Pipe is an austenitic-ferritic stainless steel designed for corrosive environments, capable of resisting localized corrosion such as pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. The austenitic-ferritic chemical composition provides mechanical properties suitable for high-stress conditions, where the use of standard austenitic stainless steel would lead to mechanical failure.
