Our Duplex 2304 Pipes/Tubes, including Welded Pipe ASTM A790 UNS S32304, are stronger and harder than regular steel. However, these pipes are not as corrosion resistant as stainless steel.
Duplex 2304 is an austenitic-ferritic stainless steel designed for corrosive environments, capable of resisting localized corrosion such as pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. Its unique chemical composition provides mechanical properties that handle high-stress conditions where ordinary austenitic stainless steel would fail.

Ferrite presence ensures good performance in caustic environments.
Like other duplex stainless steels, Duplex 2205 exhibits strong oxidation resistance at high temperatures.
