Between 912°C and 1,394°C, Stainless Steel 310S Hex Head Screws remain in their austenite or gamma iron phase. SS 310H Socket Head Cap Screws (UNS S31009) have a carbon content adjusted to exclude the lower end of the 310 range. Made from high-grade stainless steel, SS 310 Concrete Screws are widely used to bind products together securely.
SS 310/310H Anchor Screws are extensively used in construction work to tightly connect joints. Heat treatment enables additional enhancements in Stainless Steel 310/310S Steel Shoulder Screws, such as accelerating the cooling rate through the austenite-to-ferrite transformation point.
Grade 310 (UNS S31000) and its subgrades offer excellent high-temperature properties along with good ductility and weldability.
Grade 310H (UNS S31009), with its higher carbon content, is ideal for high-temperature applications, while Grade 310S (UNS S31008) is suited for environments involving moist corrosives at lower temperatures. However, the reduced carbon content of 310S results in slightly lower high-temperature strength compared to 310H.
