This grade of stainless steel is widely utilized in commercial sectors, particularly in the chemical industry. While 304 and 304L share similar properties, double certification ensures compliance with the standards of both forms. The addition of molybdenum enhances corrosion resistance in type 304 compared to regular stainless steel or even 316 stainless steel pipes. However, the higher carbon content of Grade 304H, designed for high-temperature applications, excludes it from this formula.
